delivery verification. The quality
control process of spot-checking a sampling of delivery points in a route or
delivery zone via phone survey. Delivery verification may be used to help ensure:
That everyone in the route or delivery zone received
books.
That the books were delivered in a proper manner
(e.g., not tossed in driveways).
That the delivery worker performed the services
for which he or she is seeking payment.
Occupant lists
used to verify deliveries by telephone. The lists include
residential and business names, addresses, and phone numbers
grouped by route or delivery zone.
VIP Routes
A delivery route containing a
concentration of advertisers and/or businesses.
VIP Routes: The
red dots in this island map show the locations of
advertisers and businesses. These areas would be
delivered by the best and most trustworthy delivery
workers.
